Reabrook announced Winners of Sustainability at BAMA National Awards.

Reabrook has been recognised for its energy saving commitments by BAMA (the British Aerosol Manufacturers Association). Named as winner of its Sustainability Award, Reabrook were acknowledged for the investments made to reduce their environmental impact.

Reabrook’s Energy and Environmental Committee focused on overall environmental impact, making three major investments which resulted in 26% reduction in both electricity and fuel oil usage. The improvements were: a new compressor; replacement lighting including presence detectors; and a new steam generator replacing a boiler.

The Judges said “an impressive achievement and that achieving a 26% reduction in electricity and fuel consumption is impressive as was the company’s communication internally to ensure staff ‘buy-in.” The judges also commented that Reabrook’s application was “A well-presented case for targeted sustainability, this programme was well-researched and efficiently delivered.”

Tony Brealey Joint Managing Director, was delighted to receive the Award, from guest speaker Dr. Phil Hammond, on behalf of the company at a recent national ceremony; “We are always trying to find new ways we can use less energy and decrease our impact upon the environment. Our employees are key to our success and this award recognises the efforts they have made ”.
